A 19-year-old woman died early Sunday after a collision between a Tesla and a semi-truck on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Sylmar, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 5:10 a.m. on the eastbound freeway at the Polk Street off-ramp. The victim was trapped in the wreckage and firefighters worked alongside CHP officers to free her body.
The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified the woman Monday as Angie Rios. She died of blunt traumatic injuries. Her city of residence was not released.
The Los Angeles Fire Department sent crews to assist with the extraction. Paramedics were also on scene, but Rios was pronounced dead before transport.
No other injuries were reported. The CHP has not disclosed which vehicle Rios occupied or what led to the collision.
