JoJo Siwa is hinting at wedding bells. The 22-year-old singer and dancer posted a Snapchat photo of herself wearing a bridal gown, complete with veil and jewelry, teasing fans about her relationship with boyfriend Chris Hughes.
The Wedding Dress Snap
In the photo, Siwa wears a white lace dress, a veil adorned with a jeweled headband, and glittery statement necklace and earrings. She wrote over the image, “Call me a wife.”
The post comes after Siwa openly discussed hopes for a future proposal in a December interview with The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine.
Christmas Engagement Banter
During the interview, Siwa and Hughes playfully discussed the possibility of getting engaged. Hughes, 33, said he likes the idea of proposing at an unexpected time.
“You always get people who get engaged [at] Christmas. You see it on Instagram, every year you’re gonna see somebody who gets engaged. I kinda like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected,” he said.
Siwa jokingly replied, “Alright, you’re keeping me guessing, aren’t you?” before asking, “But what if I got him a ring?”
Hughes admitted he would feel “uncomfortable” if she proposed to him instead of the other way around.
From Friends to Partners
Siwa and Hughes met on season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK. When filming began in April 2025, Siwa was still in a relationship with Kath Ebbs. The pair announced their breakup shortly after the show wrapped later that month.
Following the show, Siwa and Hughes grew closer. In June, Siwa confirmed their relationship to The Guardian.
“It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him, and he’s the same way,” she said.
Life After Big Brother
Siwa told The Guardian she’s the happiest she’s been in years.
“The happiness in my life just radiates off of me right now. Literally yesterday, I was massaging my cheeks; I’ve never [before] been in pain from smiling so much,” she said.
Earlier this month, Siwa showed off a special gift from Hughes: a Cartier love ring. In a TikTok video posted on Jan. 5, she shared her Christmas gifts haul.
“I mean, one of them is this freakin’ gorgeous – look at that thing – gorgeous little Cartier ring,” she said. “It doesn’t leave my finger. It stays right there.”
Hughes also surprised her with framed photos from their first vacation together. “It’s so sweet,” Siwa said. “I can’t wait to hang these up today.”
