Guy Fieri will host a 10,000-person tailgate in the Bay Area on Feb. 8, the Saturday before Super Bowl LX, packing four hours of food, drinks and music into a free street party designed to give every fan a taste of game-day energy.
The Flavortown Tailgate Presented by SpotOn will spotlight local restaurants through its “Built in the Bay” showcase, feature sets by electronic duo Loud Luxury and country newcomer Tucker Wetmore, and promise surprise celebrity drop-ins. Fieri’s three sons-Hunter, 29, Ryder, 20, and nephew Jules, 26-plan to attend.
At a Glance
- 10,000 guests expected at the free Feb. 8 block party
- Local restaurants from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives will headline food tents
- Live music includes Loud Luxury, Tucker Wetmore and unannounced stars
- Why it matters: Fans without tickets to the game still get the full tailgate experience
From Backyard Cookouts to City-Wide Bash
Fieri, 57, credits his own tailgate obsession for the supersized event.
“Back in the day I was a tailgate king,” he tells News Of Losangeles. “I was the guy that you wanted to invite because as a chef, I would just make the bounty of the county. I wasn’t just doing hot dogs and a bag of chips.”
The chef says he used to spend entire Saturdays prepping elaborate menus to impress friends and score better tickets. Now he channels that same energy into a public festival.
Built in the Bay: Local Flavors Take Center Stage
The “Built in the Bay” section will assemble restaurants and bars from across the region, including several of Fieri’s favorite stops featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. SpotOn, the presenting sponsor, will also bring its own roster of partner eateries.
“For me to throw the tailgate and then bring in some of my favorite Triple D restaurants and SpotOn to bring in some of their favorite restaurants and us to highlight that and let that shine in front of everybody, it’s gonna be really cool,” Fieri says.
Guests can graze on dishes from multiple vendors without leaving the grounds. VIP ticket holders receive an all-inclusive food and drink wristband; general admission remains free.
Music, Games and Mystery Guests
Entertainment runs nonstop from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the day before the Super Bowl. Loud Luxury, known for the dance hit “Body,” will DJ a set, while Tucker Wetmore will perform his viral country tracks. Organizers promise additional celebrity appearances, though names are under wraps.

Past tailgates have drawn Eli Manning, Gordon Ramsay, Flavor Flav and Diplo. Fieri expects a similar mix of athletes, chefs and entertainers to pop in.
“You never know what celebrity’s gonna show up,” he teases.
Family Affair
Fieri’s sons rarely answer his texts, he jokes, but Super Bowl weekend is the exception.
“We can’t get them to return a text every time you want to text or pick up their phone when you’re trying to find them, but come Super Bowl weekend, everybody’s available now,” he laughs.
The family will work the crowd together, posing for photos and sampling dishes alongside fans.
Free Tickets, VIP Perks
Registration for the tailgate is open now at the event website. General admission costs nothing; VIP packages add unlimited food and drinks plus private restrooms and shaded seating.
This marks the fourth consecutive year Fieri has produced the party, each one growing in size and scope. He views it as a public service for fans priced out of the actual game.
“What do people want when they go to tailgate? They want food, they want booze, they want activities. They want to be entertained, they want to have that feeling,” he says. “Not everybody’s going to get to go to the game, but everybody can feel that heartbeat of the tailgate going on in their community.”
