Reeve Carney and Eva Noblezada are about to trade the Kit Kat Club for West Egg. The married actors will step into the title roles of The Great Gatsby on Broadway this winter, marking their first joint New York appearance since their 2019 breakout in Hadestown.
A Daisy Returns and a Gatsby Arrives
Noblezada, a two-time Tony nominee, reclaims the role of Daisy Buchanan beginning Feb. 5. She will overlap for several weeks with current Gatsby star Jeremy Jordan, whose final bow is March 7. Aisha Jackson, the present Daisy, exits Feb. 1.
Carney, 42, makes his Gatsby debut March 30. In the interim, Ryan McCartan slips into the millionaire’s shoes from March 8-29, also covering Jordan’s previously scheduled personal days in early February.
From Hadestown to West End to Broadway
The couple’s creative partnership began in 2019 when they originated the roles of Orpheus and Eurydice in Anaïs Mitchell’s Tony-winning musical Hadestown. Their off-stage chemistry blossomed into a relationship that led to a New Orleans wedding in late October 2025.
Since tying the knot, they have shared the London stage as Sally Bowles and the Emcee in the West End revival of Cabaret. That production closes Jan. 24, freeing them for their next joint venture.
Stage Credits and Accolades
Eva Noblezada earned Tony nominations for Hadestown and Miss Saigon and is now returning to a role she helped create. Reeve Carney, a Grammy winner, previously headlined Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark and portrayed Dorian Gray on Showtime’s Penny Dreadful.
