Season 14 of The Masked Singer premiered on January 7 with eighteen new disguised celebrities, and the first three eliminations have already shocked the panel and viewers alike.

Week 1: Googly Eyes

Googly Eyes kicked off the unmaskings with a high-energy rendition of “Turn Down For What” by DJ Snake & Lil Jon. Beneath the tentacled costume stood Boston Red Sox legend David “Big Papi” Ortiz.

“That’s a straight-up workout right there, boy. I don’t need to go to the gym for about a month,” Ortiz told host Nick Cannon after removing the mask. “But it was so much fun.”

Week 2: Double Unmasking

The second episode delivered two reveals:

Croissants

  • Elvis Presley’s “Jailhouse Rock” was their song choice
  • Clue package described them as “upper crust socialites, living at the top” before “it all came crumbling down”
  • Panel guesses included Todd and Julie Chrisley, Spencer and Heidi Pratt, and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi
  • Result: Panel was correct-Todd & Julie Chrisley

“It was the first thing that Julie and I did together without the kids being around or anyone else around us since we came home, and it was our first time being away together,” Todd told News Of Los Angeles about the experience. “I enjoyed the fact that it was just me and Julie, that we were depending on each other and that there was really no stress to it.”

Le Who Who

Pink-furred and big-eared, Le Who Who delivered mystery until the final moment. The reveal: Emmy winner Tiffany Haddish, a guess correctly pinned by judge Rita Ora.

“Probably the silliest, most successful and the most fun-loving character we’ve ever had on Masked Singer,” Cannon said.

“My girl know me!” Haddish exclaimed, leading to Ora earning “Detective of the Week” honors.

Judges & Host Return

Judges Rita Ora, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Robin Thicke opened the season with a group performance of “Golden” by KPop Demon Hunters. Nick Cannon continues as host.

Cannon previewed the cast before the premiere, calling it “a blockbuster season” and “the most decorated season.”

“The people’s achievements under the mask is next level. They’re all superstars,” he told Parade.
