The iconic Bachelor mansion is trading roses for renovations.

HGTV has locked March 2 as the premiere date for Bachelor Mansion Takeover, a six-episode competition that sends 12 franchise veterans back to the Agoura Hills estate with paintbrushes and power tools. Amanda S. Bennett reported for News Of Los Angeles that the series will air Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, with next-day streaming on HBO Max and discovery+.
Meet the Cast and Crew
Jesse Palmer, 47, hosts the show, flanked by resident judges Tayshia Adams and Tyler Cameron. Each week, guest evaluators from Bachelor Nation and the design world will score the transformations.
Confirmed guest judges:
- Nate Berkus
- Rachel Bilson
- JoJo Fletcher
- Christina Haack
- Sean Lowe
The competing alumni roster blends seasons and spin-offs:
Men: Dean Bell, Noah Erb, Brendan Morais, Jeremy Simon, Christopher Stallworth, Sam McKinney
Women: Jill Chin, Allyshia Gupta, Tammy Ly, Sandra Mason, Courtney Robertson Preciado, Joan Vassos
Room-by-Room Battle Plan
Producers divided the 7,500-square-foot estate into six project zones. Every episode spotlights one space, culminating in an elimination.
| Episode | Room | Design Challenge |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bunk rooms | Upgrade cramped shared sleeping quarters |
| 2 | Rose room | Reimagine the ceremony backdrop |
| 3 | Pool area | Create an outdoor entertainment hub |
| 4 | Mixer room | Design a conversation-starting lounge |
| 5 | Terrace | Maximize hillside views |
| 6 | Kitchen | Deliver a chef-worthy finale space |
Clock management is crucial. Crews must finish the overhaul before the next Bachelorette season begins filming on the property.
Palmer’s Take
“For the first time ever we’re pulling back the curtain and revealing the mansion as you’ve never seen it before,” Palmer said in a network release.
He warned contestants: “Our 12 contestants have already lived through the twists and turns of The Bachelor franchise. They know this is not going to be easy. And the clock is ticking because this renovation has to be finished before a new season of The Bachelorette begins.”
Prize and Bragging Rights
The last designer standing pockets $100,000 and permanent bragging rights within Bachelor lore. Viewers will vote via social media each week, influencing scores alongside the professional panel.
