A fatal shooting in Huntington Beach late Sunday has ended with one man dead and another behind bars, according to authorities.
Victim Found After 11:30 p.m. Gunfire Call
Police rushed to the 4500 block of Scenario Drive after a report of shots fired just after 11:30 p.m.
Inside the residence, officers discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital but did not survive.
The victim’s name is being withheld while detectives work to notify his next of kin.
Suspect Located Hours After Shooting
Investigators quickly focused on Robert Emery, a 48-year-old Huntington Beach resident.
Authorities located Emery and took him into custody on suspicion of murder.
