Amy Madigan just made a stylish full-circle moment at the 2026 Golden Globes. The 75-year-old Weapons nominee arrived in a Thom Browne tuxedo that deliberately mirrored the suit she wore to the same event 30 years earlier, according to News Of Losangeles‘s red-carpet coverage.
Red-Carpet Reunion
Madigan was flanked by husband Ed Harris and daughter Lily Dolores. While Harris kept to classic black tie, Lily opted for a blue dress, creating a coordinated family palette. The actress accessorized her tailored look with Nicole Rose Jewelry earrings.
First Globe Nom Since 1990
Sunday night marks Madigan’s first Golden Globe nomination in 36 years and her first attendance at the ceremony in 20. She is vying for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work in Weapons. The veteran actress previously won the Globe in 1990 for portraying Sarah Weddington in Roe vs. Wade.
Beauty Flashback-With a 2026 Twist
Makeup artist Nick Barose studied Madigan’s 1996 red-carpet photos and re-imagined the aesthetic for today’s cameras. “Amy’s look from 30 years ago is so timeless,” Barose told News Of Losangeles. “So many young starlets today dress and wear their makeup like that, so it’s easy to reinterpret it.”
Key updates he made:
- Swapped matte skin for extra glow
- Added slight sheen to lips
- Kept the pop of color on cheeks and lips
Prep for the Long Haul
Barose prioritized hydration to keep Madigan camera-ready from afternoon arrivals through the after-parties. He applied:
- G.M. COLLIN Biocellurose Facial Mask
- G.M. COLLIN Instant Radiance Eye Patches
- G.M. COLLIN Diamond Serum, Day Cream and Eye Contour
“This helps mimic that fresh inner glow that will look good in photo ops and in real life,” he explained.
A Low-Key Glam Partnership
The pair have collaborated for several months. “She is very low key and cool, so it’s always easy and fun with her,” Barose said, adding that Madigan brews “the most delicious foamy coffee” before glam sessions.
Madigan returned the praise: “He has made it so easy-he is such an artist. He really makes me look good and, being an older woman, he knows how to work with that.”

Post-Show Plans
Warner Bros. Pictures is hosting an after-party for Weapons, and Madigan intends to attend with her family. “We’ll go to that and see what happens!” she told News Of Losangeles.
Nomination Reaction
Earlier this month Madigan said she and Harris were “having a good giggle” about the surprise nod. “We’ve both been doing it a really long time… We’re both enjoying it,” she shared.
