A YouTube challenge turned graphic when boxer Ryan Garcia punched social media personality Zavala in the stomach, leaving the creator vomiting and bleeding on camera.

The footage, posted to Zavala’s channel on January 16, shows the shirtless creator standing against a wall and giving explicit consent for Garcia to strike him. Wearing boxing gloves, the 27-year-old fighter drives a left hand into Zavala’s midsection. Zavala drops instantly, screaming and clutching his abdomen.

“Are you good?” an off-camera voice asks. “Oh s–t!”

Garcia hovers, visibly shaken. “Did I crack you? You good, bro? Oh, f–k.”

The Aftermath

Zavala crawls to a nearby bathroom, retching. Moments later Garcia and another man push open the door.

“I can’t move up, deada–,” Zavala moans.

“He’s actually f–ked up,” the team member says.

“He’s bleeding, I’m not even kidding,” Garcia replies before dialing 911.

Earlier in the video Zavala sparred with Garcia while wearing headgear and pads. When the body-shot segment began, he removed all protection.

Garcia’s Recent History

The California native captured the WBC interim lightweight title in 2021. In 2024 he served a one-year suspension after failing a drug test before a bout with Devin Haney and was later arrested on a felony vandalism charge for allegedly damaging a Beverly Hills hotel, according to News Of Losangeles archives.

Garcia returned to the ring in May 2025, losing on points to Rolly Romero. He reportedly turned down a December 2025 fight with Jake Paul, a match Anthony Joshua accepted and won by sixth-round knockout.

Garcia is scheduled to face Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight world title on February 21.
