The Divorce Filing
Kristy filed for divorce on December 30, according to court records obtained by News Of Los Angeles. The records show she cited alleged infidelity as the reason for their split.
The influencers, who married in 2014 after four years of dating, share two children: sons Vance and Westin.
Desmond’s Public Apology
On January 10, Desmond addressed the separation on his Instagram Stories.
“I want to begin by apologizing to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation,” he wrote. “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I’m truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.”
He emphasized Kristy’s role as mother to their children, stating, “Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I remain fully committed to being an active, present, and loving parent to our boys, as I have always been.”
Desmond acknowledged relationship challenges and his decision to separate at the end of 2025. He admitted making “choices that I am not proud of” and taking responsibility for those actions before their mutual decision to divorce.
