Authorities are treating the deaths of Larry Moore, 76, and Sandra Moore, 75, as a possible homicide after the couple were discovered inside their Cromer Moore Road residence on the evening of January 15, 2026.

Detectives are requesting that residents along Cromer Moore Road and nearby streets check surveillance systems for recordings captured between Tuesday evening, Jan. 13, and Thursday morning, Jan. 15. Calvary Church, where the Moores were longtime members, posted a Facebook tribute after learning of the couple’s deaths.

Parishioners described Larry and Sandra as devoted to the congregation and regularly attended services and volunteer activities. Church leaders asked members to respect the family’s privacy while the criminal investigation continues.

The sheriff’s office has not said whether deputies responded to the home because of a 911 call or if a family member discovered the couple. Autopsy results are pending, and officials have not revealed whether any weapons were recovered from the scene.
