Cole Walliser, the creator behind the viral Glambot camera, is shutting down claims that Jennifer Lopez was dismissive toward him at the 2026 Golden Globes.

On Jan. 18 Walliser uploaded a video to his 4.6 million Instagram followers explaining what really happened when Lopez stepped in front of his high-speed rig on Jan. 11. Fans had circulated a behind-the-scenes clip showing Lopez with her back to Walliser as he gave directions, interpreting the pose as disrespectful.

Walliser says the moment was purely logistical. Lopez arrived while the carpet was closing and knew exactly how she wanted to pose.

“She’s just down to business,” he noted. “She’s ready to go inside. She knew what she was gonna do. She got into the position.”

Because Lopez chose to face the camera rather than Walliser, the resulting footage made it appear she was ignoring him. Walliser insists he never felt slighted.

“I didn’t take it personally. It didn’t feel rude in that moment,” he emphasized.

Red-carpet conditions add to the chaos, he added. Many celebrities arrive disoriented, unsure of where to look or what to do next.

“Sometimes they don’t know what they’re walking up to,” Walliser said. “I’m not just talking about J.Lo here. I’m talking about a ton of celebrities in the past.”

Walliser ended the video by stressing that no star has ever mistreated him on the job.

“I’ve never felt anybody was rude to me. I think people are at work. They’re rushed. The world is crazy, and I never take it personal,” he said.

He thanked followers for supporting the Glambot series, which has also featured P!nk, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears.

For the awards show, Lopez wore a 2003 Jean Louis Scherrer Haute Couture gown featuring hundreds of yards of silk tulle, paired with Sabyasachi jewels, Christian Louboutin shoes and a Judith Leiber clutch. She is currently headlining her Up All Night concert residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
