Decades after he dressed her, Isaac Mizrahi now acts opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in Josh Safdie’s table-tennis drama Marty Supreme.
From Atelier to Big Screen
On the red carpet at TAO Downtown, Mizrahi told News Of Los Angeles he vividly recalls their ’90s fittings: “I swear to you, I remember when she used to come in for fittings.” He added with a grin, “That girl has the most fabulous ass I’ve ever seen. She has the best ass in show business.”
The designer-turned-actor says Paltrow is “hilarious and so good in this.”

Mizrahi’s Long Safdie History
Mizrahi also celebrated director Josh Safdie, a family friend since 2008: “I met him at my downstairs neighbor’s… We worked together on little films.” At the ceremony he handed Safdie and co-writer Ronald Bronstein the Best Screenplay Award.
Early buzz is loud: “People were calling me saying, ‘Darling, this movie is the best thing since Scorsese.'”
Up Next: Café Carlyle Residency
After the film’s release, Mizrahi returns to the Café Carlyle Feb. 3-21 with his new cabaret show A.I. Artificial Isaac. “A lot of rehearsals, a lot of writing and a lot of rethinking,” he says.
