A 911 call sent Sulphur Police to a Quelqueshue Street home at 8:21 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Inside, officers found 1-year-old Acelynn Moss fatally shot. Investigators quickly charged the toddler’s mother, Kristen Bass, with first-degree murder and set her bond at $10 million.
Father’s Account
Bradley Moss, the victim’s father, told Fox 8 he heard a single loud boom, ran into the room, and saw Bass holding a gun while their older daughter, age 2, stood nearby crying. He claims Bass stated:
> “I just sent our baby to God.”
He also alleges she added:

> “Now I gotta get her,” referring to the surviving child.
Moss says he intervened before any further harm occurred, preventing a second tragedy.
