Dylan Mulvaney is back on TikTok and back in rehearsal-this time for Broadway. The creator, whose “Days of Girlhood” clips chronicled her transition, posted on Jan. 19 to celebrate day one of rehearsals for Six, the pop musical in which she will play Anne Boleyn beginning Feb. 16.

From Viral Clips to Center Stage

In the video, Mulvaney told followers she had received “lovely messages” since the casting announcement. She also acknowledged “not so lovely messages questioning my abilities or just hating in general.” Rather than argue, she reframed the moment.

“My first instinct was to come on here and try to convince those people that I do have what it takes,” she said. “But then I realized that I shouldn’t waste my own breath on that.”

Instead, she called the opportunity “a miracle.”

> “Being a trans person in 2026, when this world is working against us in what feels like every way-for me to be able to step out onto a Broadway stage as Anne Boleyn and perform an iconic historical character’s role in a show that is so rooted in celebrating femininity, I think that’s a miracle.”

A Second New York Debut

Mulvaney’s Broadway bow follows her fall Off-Broadway debut in The Least Problematic Woman in the World. The one-woman show, which she wrote, ran from Oct. 7 to Nov. 30 after premiering at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

In a July interview with News Of Los Angeles, she said she was “really excited to see how the humor plays,” noting that U.K. audiences “are a bit drier and a bit more drawn to the dark comedy.”

She predicted the material might surprise social-media followers: “I have a much darker sense of humor than some people know, ’cause I don’t really share that side on social media.”

Turning Backlash into Art

Mulvaney has previously turned online criticism into creative fuel. She told News Of Los Angeles that The Least Problematic Woman in the World grew, in part, out of “Beergate”-the backlash to her 2023 sponsored Bud Light video that sparked boycotts and viral videos of beer boxes set on fire.

“I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I need to get back on stage, and it’s really hard to get cast as a trans person right now in theater,'” she recalled. “So I was like, ‘I need to write something.'”

Training and Credits

The performer earned a BFA in musical theatre from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. She also played Elder White in the national tour of The Book of Mormon.

With Six rehearsals now under way, Mulvaney is preparing to bring Anne Boleyn’s razor-sharp wit and 16th-century girl-power anthems to the Broadway stage. Ticket holders-and her 3.6 million TikTok followers-will soon see whether the creator who once counted down estrogen shots can command a sold-out house eight shows a week.
