Rob and Michele Reiner Found Dead After Son Nick’s Arrest at Conan O’Brien’s Holiday Party

Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found dead in their Los Angeles home after their son Nick was arrested at a holiday party hosted by Conan O’Brien.

According to two people familiar with the situation, Nick behaved in a disruptive manner at the party, making other guests uncomfortable.

One person said the party was hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien, while another said Nick’s parents were upset and embarrassed about his behavior and expressed worries about his health.

The two people requested anonymity due to sensitivity of the matter.

Rob Reiner was a legendary actor and filmmaker, and his wife was widely beloved in Hollywood.

The family’s challenges with their younger son Nick were also well known, particularly his battles with drug addiction.

Nick Reiner, 32, was living on and off at their Brentwood home.

Nick was arrested Sunday and later booked on suspicion of murder.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the deaths and are holding Nick without bail.

The three Reiners attended O’Brien’s gathering together.

One person said Nick had at least one interaction that left partygoers concerned.

He allegedly interrupted a conversation involving comedian Bill Hader.

When Hader told him the conversation was private, Nick appeared to stand still and stare before “storming off.”

Rob Reiner said in a May 4, 2016 appearance on NBC’s “TODAY” show, “What I didn’t understand was the depth of what he was going through.”

He added that the process of making the film forced him to see what his son was experiencing and that it forced Nick to see what he and his mother went through, hoping the film was a reflection of that.

Police saw Nick smoking in the Exposition Park area, law enforcement sources said.
