Brittany Snow has confirmed that the next season of The Hunting Wives will turn up the heat and deliver jaw-dropping twists.
Speaking on E! Live from the Red Carpet before the 2026 Golden Globes on January 11, the 39-year-old star promised fans a wilder ride when the Netflix drama returns.
At a Glance
- Snow says season 2 is “more steamy” than the first
- Reneé Rapp’s music will be featured in upcoming scenes
- The new season will leave viewers “angry but in a sexy way”
- Why it matters: The first season pulled in 20 million views in five weeks, setting a high bar for the sophomore run
Snow, who plays Sophie O’Neil, told host Justin Sylvester that production is already in motion.
“We’ve filmed some scenes, we’ve played some Reneé Rapp. We got into a groove. We’re doing it,” she explained.
She added, “A lot of things happen this season that are very shocking, I will say. It’s gonna leave people very angry but in a sexy way.”
The eight-episode first season debuted in July 2025 and quickly became a streaming sensation, racking up 20 million views in its first five weeks. The show follows Sophie as she moves to Texas and falls in with an elite clique of women led by Margo Banks, played by Malin Åkerman. Their friendship soon spirals into dangerous games, power plays, and a complicated, passionate relationship.
Netflix renewed the series for a second season in September 2025. While season 1 was adapted from May Cobb’s novel of the same name, season 2 will be based on an original script.
According to the official logline, the new episodes will open with Sophie and Margo “on the outs.” Old secrets and new enemies soon force them back together, raising the question: Are they the hunters or the hunted?
Showrunner Rebecca Cutter teased the upcoming chaos in a statement: “I can’t wait to take the audience on another sexy, twisted, bats— crazy ride through Maple Brook.”

The ensemble cast also includes:
- Katie Lowes
- Dermot Mulroney
- Chrissy Metz
- Jaime Ray Newman
Snow’s next season hype comes as she juggles multiple projects. She recently appeared in Netflix’s The Beast in Me, which earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television. The show also received acting nods for leads Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes.
In November, Snow told News Of Losangeles she was embracing the “challenge” of a packed year after debuting in three major roles within months.
“This year has just been one of those years where I challenge myself, and sometimes I miss and sometimes I win, and I get to learn from it all,” she said. “That’s really exciting for me.”
Snow also stars in Hulu’s Murdaugh: Death in the Family.
The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards took place at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles and aired on CBS and Paramount+.
